2012. What an amazing year it has been, I can't wait to see what 2013 will bring.
For the past couple of years I was always struggling to figure out what my path in life would be, what did i want to do and how was i going to find out. My journey as a makeup artist went a bit like this...haha
In January of this year I was at a friends place and she had this amazing set of brushes from MAC and I was really interested in wanting them myself (i was a makeup collector but didn't know how to use 50% of the tools and products I had) she told me that you have to be a makeup artist to get this set. It was right then that I was dead set on being a makeup artist LOL!
I started researching makeup courses in Calgary that I would start ASAP and then I came across Delmar College. Long story short, I made a goal for myself to have 2 clients from the time that I finished my course (April) to the end of the year. I started advertising my services on Kijiji and had my first 2 clients within the first week! Shortly after I started getting contracts for bridal makeup with an amazing wedding planner (Calgary Wedding Planning Co) and it all took off from there! All in all it was a very busy, very fun year. Met some amazing people and learned a lot along the way. In August I decided to expand on my services and added lash extensions, which also took off very well. I feel so blessed to have the support of my family and friends and especially thankful for all my clients who have given me the opportunity to provide my services to them. I look forward to 2013 and am extremely eager to see where it takes me.
I look forward to attending IMATS (International Makeup Artist Trade Show) in Pasadena, CA in just a few short weeks, where I can check out some new products to include in my kit!

Lash extensions are such a hot trend right now. Lashes are longer, fuller, thicker and darker! No need for mascara.
There are some myths about getting them. Here are some Q&A's
1. Do they damage my natural lashes?
-No! Lash extensions are completely safe and they do not damage your natural lashes at all if properly applied and safe products are used.
2. How are they applied?
-Each lash is carefully glued to the root of your natural lash to give them a longer, fuller look
3. How long do they last?
-This depends on your natural lash fall out and how you maintain them. Some last 2 weeks and some last 4 weeks. Following after care procedure will help prolong the life of the extensions.
4. Can I wear mascara?
-It is recommended not to as the oils in the mascara will loosen the glue.
5. Do you offer mobile service?
-Yes! I am mobile because sometimes we just cant find the time to leave the house so let the pampering come home to you.
Please feel free to ask any other questions you are concerned about!
